Mumbai Indians (MI) triumphed over Delhi Capitals (DC) by 59 runs in the 63rd match of IPL 2025. The game, held at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium, saw MI set a target of 181 runs. DC struggled to chase it down, getting all out for just 121 runs.
IPL 2025: DC’s innings got off to a shaky start as openers KL Rahul (11) and Faf du Plessis (6) fell cheaply. Their No. 3 batsman, Abishek Porel, also couldn’t make an impact, scoring only 6 runs before getting out. MI’s bowlers put in a strong performance, with Mitchell Santner and Jasprit Bumrah each taking three wickets to dismantle the DC batting lineup.
Earlier, DC’s stand-in captain Faf du Plessis won the toss and opted to bowl first. MI lost their openers Ryan Rickelton (25) and Rohit Sharma (5) early, but Suryakumar Yadav anchored the innings with an impressive unbeaten 73, helping MI reach 180 for 5.
