Farokh Engineer and Clive Lloyd will be honoured with stands named after them during the Manchester Test. Former Indian wicket-keeper Farokh Engineer will have a stand named in his honour at Old Trafford, Manchester, ahead of the fourth Test between England and India, starting Wednesday, July 23.
England currently lead the five-match series 2-1 and will aim to secure the series with a win in Manchester. India, facing a must-win situation, will be looking to stage a strong comeback. England have announced their playing XI with one change: spinner Liam Dawson replaces the injured Shoaib Bashir.
India, however, face significant injury setbacks before the Test. Nitish Kumar Reddy is ruled out for the rest of the series due to a knee injury, while pacers Arshdeep Singh (thumb) and Akash Deep (groin) are also sidelined for the Manchester Test.
Stand Named After Farokh Engineer to Be Unveiled on Day 1 of Manchester Test

As per a PTI report, former Indian cricketer Farokh Engineer and ex-West Indies captain Clive Lloyd will be honoured with stands named after them at Old Trafford in Manchester. The official naming ceremony will take place on the opening day of the fourth Test between England and India, scheduled for July 23.
This tribute has been organised by Lancashire County Cricket Club, where both players had memorable stints. Engineer represented Lancashire as a wicketkeeper from 1968 to 1976, scoring 5,942 runs in 175 matches. He also notched up 429 catches and 35 stumpings. During his time with the club, Lancashire clinched the Gillette Cup four times between 1970 and 1975. Post-retirement, Engineer settled in Manchester.
For India, Engineer featured in 46 Test matches, amassing 2,611 runs at an average of 31.08, including two centuries and 16 fifties. He also played five ODIs, scoring 114 runs with a top score of 54. His final international appearance came in 1975.
