The following day, June 4, RCB organized a victory celebration at Bengaluru’s Chinnaswamy Stadium. Tragically, a stampede broke out near one of the stadium gates due to overcrowding and mismanagement, resulting in 11 fatalities and injuries to 50 others.
Rajat Patidar and the RCB management expressed their condolences to the victims and their families. The franchise also announced financial assistance for the medical treatment of those injured and declared a compensation of Rs. 25 lakh for each family of the fans who lost their lives in the incident.

Rajat Patidar, who was appointed RCB’s skipper ahead of IPL 2025, scored 312 runs in 15 games at a strike rate of 143.77, including two fifties. He is currently representing Central Zone in the Duleep Trophy 2025-26.
