India, Pakistan, UAE, and Oman make up Group A, while Group B consists of Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, and Hong Kong. During the group stage, each team will play once against every other team in their group.
The top two teams from each group will advance to the Super Four round, where each team will compete in three matches. The two highest-ranked teams on the points table at this stage will qualify for the final. In total, 19 matches will be held throughout the Asia Cup 2025.
India enter the tournament as the defending champions, having defeated Sri Lanka in the 2023 final. Unlike the previous edition, which was played in the ODI format, the 2025 Asia Cup will be contested in the T20 format.
