[Watch] "Mohammed Shami forced me to leave my career…" – Estranged wife Hasin Jahan makes serious allegations against Indian pacer

Hasin Jahan has alleged that Mohammed Shami is trying to destroy her life. Indian pacer Mohammed Shami’s estranged wife, Hasin Jahan, has once again made serious accusations against him. She claimed that Shami pressured her to give up her career after their marriage and is now attempting to ruin her life.

Mohammed Shami and Jahan, a former model, got married in 2014 and welcomed a daughter in 2015. However, in 2018, Jahan filed for divorce and accused Shami and his family of domestic violence. She also lodged an FIR with multiple charges, including domestic abuse, dowry harassment, and even allegations of match-fixing.

Hasin Jahan Makes Serious Allegations Against Mohammed Shami

In a conversation with ANI, cricketer Mohammed Shami’s wife, Hasin Jahan, accused him of forcing her to abandon her career after their marriage and compelling her to become a housewife. She also alleged that Shami is intent on ruining her life and is indifferent to their daughter’s well-being and happiness.

“I was involved in modelling and acting before marriage. Shami pressured me to give it all up and live solely as a housewife. I loved him deeply and agreed to it willingly. Today, I have no source of personal income, and Shami is solely responsible for our financial maintenance. We had no choice but to seek legal help after he refused to fulfil that responsibility,” she stated.

Jahan further added, “Even the gravest of sinners are forgiven by God. Shami refuses to see his daughter’s future, safety, or happiness. He must let go of his obsession with trying to destroy my life. He won’t succeed—because I stand on the side of justice, while he stands on the side of wrongdoing.”

On Tuesday, the Calcutta High Court ordered Mohammed Shami to pay ₹4 lakh per month as maintenance to his wife and daughter. Previously, in 2023, a sessions court had directed him to pay ₹50,000 to his wife and ₹80,000 to his daughter each month.

However, Shami’s wife, Hasin Jahan, challenged the sessions court’s decision in the High Court. Upon review, the Calcutta High Court revised the maintenance amount, stating that Shami has the financial capacity to meet the increased obligation.

Meanwhile, Shami last featured in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. He is currently not part of the ongoing Test series against England due to fitness concerns.
