Indian batsman Rohit Sharma has shared a funny anecdote from the Champions League Final 2013. This final match was played between Mumbai Indians and Rajasthan Royals in Delhi. Rohit Sharma was captaining MI and he told about the incident when he lied to Anil Kumble. Kumble was the mentor of the team at that time.

Before the match, it was decided that the decision to bowl would be taken after winning the toss. But, Rohit Sharma forgot what to do during the toss and decided to bat first. Now he has revealed the conversation with Anil Kumble after this.

Rohit said on the talk show ‘Who’s the Boss’ hosted by Harbhajan Singh and Geeta Basra, ‘It is a matter of 2013. It is about Champions League. In Delhi. We had to field after winning the toss. I won the toss and went to bat. I said, no Anil bhai, I saw a good wicket there, so I thought of batting. But actually I forgot what to say, so I said the wrong thing on the toss. Then we won.’

In that final match, Mumbai Indians defeated Rajasthan Royals by 33 runs and won the title. Incidentally, Harbhajan Singh was chosen as the Player of the Match in that final match. He took four wickets for 32 runs.
