Shubman Gill shared a story on Instagram for Hardik Pandya. Gujarat Titans (GT) faced Mumbai Indians (MI) in the Eliminator match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. The match was held at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Chandigarh. GT lost the game by 20 runs and were knocked out of the tournament.
MI captain Hardik Pandya won the toss and chose to bat first. An awkward moment occurred during the toss when Pandya extended his hand to shake hands with Shubman Gill, but Gill seemingly didn’t notice. Later in the match, when Gill was dismissed for just one run, Pandya celebrated in an unusually aggressive manner.
This led some fans to speculate about a possible ego clash between the two players. The rumours of a rift quickly went viral on social media. However, Shubman Gill has dismissed these claims and clarified that there is no conflict between him and Pandya.
