Only two Bangladeshi bowlers have taken more than 100 wickets in T20I cricket. Bangladesh made their T20I debut in November 2006, but their growth in the shortest format has been slower compared to Tests and ODIs. This lag is reflected in their record: the team has yet to win an Asia Cup title and has never reached the semi-finals of the ICC T20 World Cup.
Despite these challenges, Bangladesh’s bowling has often been their strongest asset, helping them secure memorable victories against higher-ranked teams. Over the years, several bowlers have stood out in T20Is for their wicket-taking abilities. In this article, we highlight Bangladesh’s top five highest wicket-takers in the T20 international format.
