Noor Ahmad: Both players have received official reprimands for breaching Level 1 of the ICC Code of Conduct during the match in Abu Dhabi on Thursday.
Asia Cup: Noor Ahmad Ahmad was found in violation of Article 2.8, which covers “showing dissent at an umpire’s decision during an international match,” while Mujeeb Ur Rahman breached Article 2.2, relating to “abuse of cricket equipment, clothing, ground equipment, or fixtures during an international match.”
As a result, each player received one demerit point on their disciplinary record. This marks the first offence for both within a 24-month period.
Noor Ahmad incident occurred in the 16th over of Sri Lanka’s innings when he showed dissent after one of his deliveries was called a wide. Meanwhile, Mujeeb was penalized for aggressively breaking the stumps with his towel during one of his overs.
Noor Ahmad and Mujeeb Ur Rahman acknowledged their offences and accepted the sanctions.

The charges were brought by on-field umpires Asif Yaqoob and Virender Sharma, third umpire Faisal Afridi, and fourth umpire Rohan Pandit.
Noor Ahmad: Level 1 breaches carry a minimum penalty of an official reprimand, a maximum of 50% of a player’s match fee, and one or two demerit points.
