Former Indian batsman Sunil Gavaskar gave a statement on this issue and said – If the government has taken a decision. So I do not think that the players can be criticized or commented on, because the players are ultimately contracted with the BCCI and they will take instructions from the Government of India. And so it completely depends on that.
Gavaskar’s opinion on the Asia Cup 2025 squad
Giving importance to cricket, Gavaskar praised the team selected by the Ajit Agarkar-led committee and called this team much stronger than the rest and said that this is one of India’s best teams in the last few years.
