Mahesh Tambe: Finland’s Indian-origin fast bowler Mahesh Tambe created history in Tallinn when he created the record for the fastest five-wicket haul in T20 International history. He took five wickets in the first eight balls in the third T20 International of Finland’s tour of Estonia.

Mahesh Tambe: The previous record was held by Bahrain’s Junaid Aziz, who took five wickets in 10 balls against Germany in 2022. Among Test-playing nations and Full Member Sides, Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan took five wickets in 11 balls against Ireland in 2017.

In the run chase, Finland opener Arvind Mohan played the anchor role despite wickets falling continuously. Wicketkeeper-batsman Jordan O’Brien’s innings of 18 runs in 11 balls helped increase the scoring pace. Mohan remained unbeaten on 67 runs in 60 balls with the help of six fours and a six. Finland won the match by five wickets with 11 balls to spare. Also, they won the three-match T20 series 2-1.
