ICC announces full schedule of Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025

ICC has announced the full schedule of Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025. This major women’s tournament of 50 overs will start from September 30, with Sri Lanka and five cities of India hosting it. Host India will start the tournament against Sri Lanka in Bengaluru. The tournament between the two countries will start on September 30 at 15:00 pm local time at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.

On the other hand, defending champions Australia will begin their campaign against New Zealand at the Holkar Cricket Stadium in Indore on October 1, while Bangladesh will face Pakistan in Colombo a day later. 2022 runners-up England will face South Africa on Friday, October 3.

World Cup 2025: The final match will be played on November 2

The round-robin stage will run till October 26. Two matches will be played on the last day of the group stage. England will face New Zealand in Guwahati and India will face Bangladesh in Bengaluru. The top four teams from the round-robin stage will advance to the semi-finals, with the first-placed team facing the fourth-placed team and the second-placed team facing the third-placed team.

The first semi-final of the tournament is scheduled for October 29 and the second on October 30. This will be followed by the final on November 2.

Note: The knockout matches to be played in Colombo will be played there only if Pakistan progresses from the league stage. If Pakistan’s women’s team qualifies, it will play the first semi-final in a round-robin format regardless of position in the points table. If they do not qualify, the matches will be held in Guwahati (semi-final 1) and Bengaluru (semi-final 2 and final) respectively.
