Rajat Patidar led Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) as captain in IPL 2025. Under his leadership, RCB clinched the IPL 2025 title by defeating Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the final on June 3.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The following day, June 4, RCB organized a victory celebration at Bengaluru\u2019s Chinnaswamy Stadium. Tragically, a stampede broke out near one of the stadium gates due to overcrowding and mismanagement, resulting in 11 fatalities and injuries to 50 others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rajat Patidar and the RCB management expressed their condolences to the victims and their families. The franchise also announced financial assistance for the medical treatment of those injured and declared a compensation of Rs. 25 lakh for each family of the fans who lost their lives in the incident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Wednesday, September 3, RCB shared a post on X (formerly Twitter) featuring Rajat Patidar extending his condolences to the victims of the Bengaluru stampede.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cEvery time I step onto the field for RCB, it\u2019s with passion\u2014and that passion comes from you. From your love, your belief, and your unwavering support, you\u2019ve always stood by us,\u201d Rajat Patidar said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He added, \u201cFrom the bottom of my heart, I want you to know that we stand with you too. You\u2019ve all been in my thoughts and prayers. With all of us holding on to each other, we\u2019ll find our strength again.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rajat Patidar, who was appointed RCB\u2019s skipper ahead of IPL 2025, scored 312 runs in 15 games at a strike rate of 143.77, including two fifties. He is currently representing Central Zone in the Duleep Trophy 2025-26.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
