Dewald Brevis smashed an unbeaten 125* off 41 balls, including 12 fours and eight sixes, in the second T20I between South Africa and Australia at Marara Oval, Darwin.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

After Australia captain Mitchell Marsh won the toss and elected to bowl first, South Africa struggled early with Aiden Markram (18), Ryan Rickelton (14), and Lhuan-dre Pretorius (10) helping the team reach 57\/3 in 6.5 overs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then, Dewald Brevis took control, forging a crucial 126-run partnership for the fourth wicket with Tristan Stubbs. Brevis reached his fifty in just 25 balls, smashing two fours and five sixes during that phase.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tristan Stubbs scored 31 runs, including three fours, and looked set before attempting a hoick against Adam Zampa, only to be caught by Matthew Kuhnemann<\/a>. After Stubbs\u2019 dismissal, ewald Brevis shifted into overdrive with just a few partners remaining.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He unleashed a barrage of sixes and fours against the Australian bowling attack, reaching his maiden T20I hundred in just 41 balls during only his ninth T20I appearance. ewald Brevis finished unbeaten on 125 off 56 deliveries, hitting 12 fours and 8 sixes, propelling South Africa to their highest-ever T20I total against Australia\u2014218\/7 in 20 overs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For Australia, Ben Dwarshuis and Glenn Maxwell each claimed two wickets. This innings made ewald Brevis the second-fastest South African to score a T20I century, trailing only David Miller\u2019s 35-ball ton against Bangladesh in 2017.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Other quick South African T20I<\/a> centuries include Richard Levi\u2019s 45-ball hundred versus New Zealand in 2012, and 46-ball tons by both Quinton de Kock and Faf du Plessis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
