The Asia Cup 2025 has been tentatively scheduled for the window between September 10 and 28.<\/a> According to a report by Cricbuzz, the Annual General Meeting of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) will proceed as planned, with the dispute over the meeting venue now resolved. The meeting will be held in Dhaka, as originally scheduled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reports indicate that all key stakeholders \u2014 including representatives from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI)<\/a>, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC), Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), and Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) \u2014 have reached a consensus on several important matters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ACC meeting is set for Thursday, July 24, during which major decisions regarding the Asia Cup 2025 will be made. Pakistan Cricket Board chairman Mohsin Naqvi and PSL CEO Salman Naseer have already arrived in Bangladesh, with representatives from the ACB also expected to join soon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will not be sending representatives to Bangladesh for the upcoming Asian Cricket Council (ACC) meeting<\/a>. Instead, BCCI members are expected to join the meeting online. BCCI, Reports suggest that earlier disagreements over the Annual General Meeting (AGM) agenda have now been resolved, with a consensus reached among the stakeholders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The meeting was also set to include an election for the ACC Vice-President post. However, BCCI, the election has been postponed. As per reports, UAE\u2019s Mubashshir Usmani (Emirates Cricket Board) and Malaysia\u2019s Mahinda Vallipuram remain the key contenders for the role.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

BCCI: Amid ongoing controversies related to the ACC gathering, Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) interim head Aminul Islam clarified the nature of the event:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe ACC consists of five full members from Asia and 25 associate nations. They asked if we were willing to host the AGM, and we agreed. It\u2019s an ACC event\u2014we are only providing logistical support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
