Sanju Samson, the Rajasthan Royals skipper, is reportedly on the radar of several IPL teams with five-time champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) showing strong interest.<\/a> As per a Cricbuzz report, CSK is exploring the possibility of trading for the Indian wicketkeeper-batter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“We\u2019re definitely looking at Sanju. He\u2019s an Indian batter, a keeper, and an opener \u2014 a rare combination. If he becomes available, we\u2019ll surely consider bringing him in,” a CSK official involved in internal discussions was quoted as saying anonymously. “We haven\u2019t yet decided whom we\u2019d trade for him, as talks haven\u2019t reached that stage, but yes, there is definite interest.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Former India opener Aakash Chopra also weighed in on the development, acknowledging the buzz around CSK\u2019s pursuit of the RR captain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Despite swirling rumours, neither Sanju Samson nor the involved franchises have confirmed any trade discussions.<\/a> However, Aakash Chopra has stirred the conversation by suggesting that if Chennai Super Kings (CSK) genuinely pursue a deal for Samson, Rajasthan Royals (RR) might demand a senior player in return \u2014 possibly Ravindra Jadeja or Ravichandran Ashwin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWill this trade happen? CSK<\/a> have expressed interest, but talks haven\u2019t reached a point where specific names have come up. Rajasthan could ask for Ashwin or Jadeja \u2014 it\u2019s completely within their rights,\u201d Chopra stated on his YouTube channel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chopra further added that CSK\u2019s interest in Samson is logical. A CSK official reportedly said they are keen on Samson, seeing him as a keeper-batter who could fit into the team\u2019s long-term plans after MS Dhoni.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s still unclear whether any deal, if it happens, would involve a player swap or a cash-only transaction.
